Shade planned around your boat

Bow shades

Extend shade over forward seating with coverage and pole positions planned around the bow, rails and access.

Aft shades

Create shade behind a hard top or T-top while considering seating, walkways and the way the boat is used.

Poles, hardware and canvas

Attachment points, reinforcement and fabric tension work together. We review existing hardware and the mounting areas before deciding on the layout.

What we review before quoting

  • Boat make, model and location
  • Bow or aft area to shade
  • Hard-top or T-top shape and attachment areas
  • Existing poles, mounts and hardware
  • Seating access and intended use

Canvas is patterned to the selected hardware layout. Pole and mounting work can be included when required.

Send photos of your boat, the mounting areas and the seating you want shaded so we can review the scope.

Materials, coverage and practical limits

Fabric is selected for the shade application, UV exposure, water behavior and the coverage you want. We work with marine fabrics including Sunbrella and WeatherMax, with reinforcement and thread chosen for the construction.

Removable shade

Storage, installation and removal are part of the layout discussion. Tell us how often you expect to set the shade up.

Wind and underway use

Operating limits depend on the poles, mounting system, fabric span and conditions. Do not assume a shade can remain deployed at speed; discuss the intended use before fabrication.
